they're off three significant wildfires in southern cal fought fires. high temperatures and high winds are fueling the wild fires. you can see the flames right now it looks like a structure is burning. this one is called the springs fire appeared it is more than 10 square miles. it started at 7:00 a.m. this morning and is spreading very very fast. 6,500 a. burned within five hours. look at how close the fire is to highway 1 01. it caused 9 mi. of the pacific coast highway to be closed down. this is video from a neighborhood where winds were blowing the fire closer and closer to the homes. watch as the flames continued to creep. the wind is blowing that way. smoking is very intense, and you can barely see this home. the smoke is so dense that helicopters are dropping water and fire retardant from above. the fires have died down a little bit. . there are 600 firefighters battling this fire in ventura county. see all of this black smoke and flames this is a highly toxic past decide. many homes are threatened. again the flames right fare as you can see. >>
